Our ESPs are engineered, manufactured and tested to give you long service life, and we back up our promise with a 1-year service and parts warranty (optional 2-year warranties are available in most areas). Accessories are available to increase resistance to abrasion or corrosion, and extra high-torque shafts are available for all models. For the centrifugal ESPs, the number of stages determines the total amount of lift provided and motor horsepower required, so you can customize your pump to deliver the most effective performance at the least initial price and operating cost.

We offer optional instrumentation on all our electrical downhole pumps to remotely monitor and transmit well and pump performance data to the surface control box, and/or to a Web client, if desired, so equipment operation can be maintained at peak efficiency and well performance can be optimized. Instrumented pumps are proven to experience enhanced run life. Pump data are multiplexed onto the power cable so no special cabling or wiring is required. A ruggedized Modbus RTU unit connects directly to the surface control box to pick the data off the power cable at the surface and route it to a local surface read-out unit and/or directly to the web.

Optional accessories are available to assist in gas handling and exclusion of fine-grained solids. Automatic shutdown sensors can save pump or motor damage from unexpected well conditions. All electrical systems can be equipped with optional variable-speed drives to fine-tune performance and maximize run life. Drives can be remotely controlled, if desired, to provide real-time control and production optimization options.

Our three-phase induction motors are hand-wound and are designed to operate at a midpoint of 3,500 rpm at 60 Hz. A wide variety of motors is available with different horsepower and voltage ratings to customize the system to your specific needs. Motor speed can be optimized for peak performance and economical power consumption using the optional variable speed drive at the surface simply by adjusting the power frequency up or down. Speed control can also add to run life.

Protectors download specifications

Oil-filled protectors act as a reservoir for dielectric motor oil, and keep motors running smoothly and efficiently under varying conditions of temperature and pressure. The oil helps conduct heat away from the motor to the outer housing where it is cooled by well fluid circulating by it. Protectors act as a pressure compensator to absorb thermal expansion during installation and operation. By equalizing internal and external pressures, they prevent contaminants from entering the motor. Protectors contain a thrust bearing that accepts the load of the fluid column upon startup and absorbs the axial load of the pump.
